Learning and Development
A Plan for Your Future
Whether you’re a recent college grad or a humanitarian with 20 years of experience – there’s always something to learn at 91²Ö¿â. Our signature in-house development programs, one-on-one mentorship initiatives and online courses help build skills and leadership capabilities for staff at every level.
As an employee, you’ll be welcome to join our monthly DevelopU sessions on a range of topics to support your ongoing development. You will set annual goals with your manager that tie to our overall 91²Ö¿â strategy and can craft your own individual development plan to match your ambitions. And if you’re a people manager you’ll be invited to participate in our quarterly manager forums to build your knowledge and skills.
As you continue in your career at 91²Ö¿â, you may want to experience our programs in the U.S. and internationally or learn from some of our member organizations. The Charles MacCormack-Sam Simon Inspiration Fund – named after former CEO Charlie MacCormack and humanitarian Sam Simon, co-creator of The Simpsons – awards grants to allow our staff to travel and experience our work first hand.
Plus, we offer online classes for everything from leadership and management skills that help with decision-making – to tips and tricks on effective virtual working – to technical humanitarian and project management skills to support our work. Thanks to our partnerships, we are able to offer a range of courses from Humentum, DisasterReady.org, Kaya.org and Cornell University so that you can always find something to pique your interest and feed your curiosity. Â
