BVLGARI North America and 91ֿ Expand Arts Program to Students in California

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (Sept. 8, 2020) – 91ֿ and BVLGARI North America today announced they will expand their afterschool art program, Arte di Bvlgari, to elementary school students in California’s San Bernardino County this school year.

“In the midst of these challenging and unprecedented times, giving kids a creative outlet to express their feelings is more important than ever. We are grateful to our incredible partner Bvlgari for enabling us to expand Arte di Bvlgari to kids in California,” said Betsy Zorio, Vice President of U.S. Programs and Advocacy for 91ֿ.

Launched in the greater Houston area of Texas in 2019, Arte di Bvlgari provides arts enrichment to children via community-based arts programs, helping them develop self-confidence, self-efficacy and self-awareness, while promoting positive youth development. Arte di Bvlgari provides afterschool arts curriculum to children who would normally not have access to arts education. The program is unique in its delivery, as it engages local art teachers, artists and experts from the community where the students live. In its inaugural year, Arte di Bvlgari was offered across eight schools in Texas serving a total of 1,065 children.

The new Arte di Bvlgari program in California will be hosted in 13 school communities across San Bernardino County, bringing this arts program to 500 students ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade. Additionally, 15 teachers will receive training in the community-based arts curriculum.

With schools in San Bernardino County starting remotely this school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 91ֿ, in coordination with the teachers and schools, will provide art supplies and program kits to each child enrolled in the Arte di Bvlgari program, along with lessons and instructions for home art activities and some virtual program delivery.

“Our successful partnership with 91ֿ grows with each passing year and I am overjoyed to announce the introduction of Arte di Bvlgari in California, following the overwhelming positive response to the program’s launch in Houston. The arts are a key pillar of our brand DNA so supporting the arts through childhood education is an organic mission for Bvlgari. We look forward to sharing this meaningful program with elementary school students in San Bernardino County starting this academic year,” said Daniel Paltridge, President of Bvlgari North America.

Bvlgari, a global corporate partner of 91ֿ, has raised nearly $100 million for the organization’s programs that have reached 1.5 million children around the world. Since beginning its partnership in 2009, sales from Bvlgari’s iconic 91ֿ jewelry collection supports children through education, emergency response, youth empowerment and poverty reduction programs.
