Hello,

It's Time to Get Fed Up!

Right now, 258 million people do not have access to enough food. Families are being forced to take desperate measures to cope, like skipping meals, withdrawing their children from school, sending them to work or uprooting their lives entirely. In some countries, young girls are at particular risk of being forced into an early marriage. Some children are even sold to cover debts or to feed other mouths in the family.

In areas of conflict and insecurity, some children may be recruited into armed groups or gangs with the promise of food and protection, exposing them to devastating violence and harm. These are heart-breaking consequences, but for many parents and children, they are left with little choice. Urgent action is needed to save lives and prevent long-term damage to their health.

The combination of COVID, conflict, climate change and inflation has ignited the worst famine in our lifetime. And we’re fed up. Fed up with the lack of progress. Fed up with the injustice.Ìý

Mobilize: Share on Social Media

Globally, hunger is steadily rising, not only putting children’s physical, mental and developmental health at risk, but also their long-term well-being.

Grab a fork and talk about the hunger crisis on social media to spread awareness and inspire action.

Encourage others to #getfedup too.

Participate: Do What You Can

Unfortunately, in order to put food on the table, some households resort to dangerous solutions such as child marriage, child labor or pulling children out of school.

But, more money to solve immediate hunger needs isn’t enough – we need robust funding to ensure long-term solutions.
